My name is Marie-Louise Fenger, I am 41 years old and married to Søren Olesen. Together we have
Mads, Signe and Kristian and are living in an old farm between Mejrup and Skave near Holstebro. I was
trained a waiter from Sallingsund Færgekro and at a large hotel in London, England and has, over the
years, worked at Venø Inn where I got my first taste of serving other people and provide a good service.
I had my upbringing on Venø island and Struer was - and is - "my" town.

THE IDEA AND PHILOSOPHY

café Kastaniegården opened in August 2009 - in the middle of the pedestrian in Struer - and conceived as
a cozy little lunch and coffee place which would be buzzing with life and atmosphere. It is also intended as a place where you can quickly get a meal, and then, mind you, a healthy meal. We have a wireless internet connection and your laptop is always welcome in the café for checking your e-mails and other things.

Most people are busy today. Things are going real fast and it may be difficult to get all 24 hours to turn to when you must have logistics to work at home. There has to be food on the table - mom or dad do not have time to cook, or we forgot to take something out of the freezer, not to mention, when it is gaping empty! Here, many of us visit the established places to eat - for better or for worse. However, cafe Kastaniegården's mission is clear: To provide healthy food, produced in our own kitchen, from fresh products.

café Kastaniegården offers the fast, but healthy solution, and the prices are utmost acceptable. We are the nutritious alternative - WELCOME.... and Bon appetit!
